Viola Foggi: Metals by the Lady Author

Viola Foggi, young Florentine artist, studied sculpture at the Istituto d’Arte in Florence and Goldsmith at the University of Architecture.
She specialised attending training workshops in Barcelona and Florence, winning a scholarship to attend the Jewel Design course at the Arti Orafe of Firenze. http://www.artiorafe.it/en/
While exhibiting at trade fairs and shows, Viola has been working at the Yoko Takirai Atelier for three years.
She now creates in her workshop in Florence, where she designs and realises jewels with gold, silver,  precious and semi precious stones.
Inspired by contemporary sculpture and industrial design, using geometric minimal Japanese forms, she create complex yet light and original pieces.

Giuliana Becattini, creator and founder of “L’abito che… vorrei – My dream clothes” was born in Florence in 1967. In 2009, she decided to enter the fashion world and started her career as handmade clothing designer. In her project, Giuliana mixes her technical/creative knowledge and her take on style and clothing design. Her models are simple, functional, elegant and, above all, highly customizable.

 

The company policy of “L’abito che… vorrei – My dream clothes” is to produce quality items: each piece of clothing/ accessory is carefully handmade with artisanal tailoring methods in an artisanal art workshop. The careful choice of fabrics and accessories and the extremely efficient customer service make of “L’abito che… vorrei – My dream clothes” a typical 100% Italian product, precious in its uniqueness.

Craft Central, the new name for Clerkenwell Green Association, is a pioneering not-for-profit organisation established over 25 years that is dedicated to building a strong future for craft and design.
Craft Central is a place where things happen. People get inspired. Creative businesses flourish and a community of designers and makers talk, meet and swap ideas.
Put simply, Craft Central is a destination for those involved in craft who want to get somewhere, make something happen and see things differently.

Crafts people and designer-makers can join Craft Central’s Designers’ Network, show work in exhibitions or in the online gallery, rent work spaces and get practical business help.
Individuals interested in craft and design, can visit ground-breaking events and exhibitions, use resources to source and buy original products, commission unique one-off pieces and support Craft Central’s non-profit work.

BSN3 Craft & Design: Why?

Business Service Network Craft & Design is the third stage of a long journey started in 2011 by the staff of Vivaio per l'Intraprendenza.
Thanks to this project we created a network of private and public organisations supporting the dissemination of entrepreneurial mindset and business development across Europe.
The focus of the third stage is to support networking among craft entrepreneurs and visit CRAFT CENTRAL, a charity in Clerkenwell, the London district of design and craft.
